Benyam Muluneh, PharmD, BCOP, CPP, is an assistant professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Dr. Muluneh is a clinical pharmacist practitioner with a clinical practice at UNC Health's Leukemia Clinic. In his teaching role, Dr. Muluneh directs a case-based integrative pharmacotherapy course and teaches in several PharmD courses. His research interests include optimization of pharmacotherapy in leukemias through dose optimization and toxicity mitigation as well as a multidimensional approach to understanding and improving adherence to oral oncolytics. Dr. Muluneh also leads the school’s collaborations with Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia with a focus on hematology/oncology including serving as a preceptor for the global pharmacy scholars program.
